Terms of Service

Last updated: February 27, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using BumpPay. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use BumpPay.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BumpPay ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the BumpPay website and service (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, have the authority to enter into these Terms (personally or on behalf of the business you represent), and agree to be bound by them along with our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of the Service

BumpPay is an automated invoice reminder service for freelancers and small businesses. The Service allows you to:

  • Connect your Stripe or QuickBooks account to import outstanding invoices.
  • Configure automated email reminder sequences for overdue invoices.
  • Track invoice status, payment history, and client communication from a single dashboard.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. User Accounts

To use BumpPay, you must create an account with a valid email address and a secure password. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notifying us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may not share your account credentials with others or create accounts for the purpose of circumventing usage limits. One account may be used per business organization under the applicable plan.

4. Billing and Subscriptions

Free plan. BumpPay offers a free tier with limited features (up to 25 invoices and 1 integration). No payment information is required to use the free plan.

Pro plan. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly at the rate displayed at the time of purchase. Prices are in USD and subject to applicable taxes.

Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.

Price changes. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new rate.

5. Acceptable Use

BumpPay is for legitimate invoice reminder communications only. You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Send spam, unsolicited commercial email, or harassing communications.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation, including anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR).
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Use the Service to collect payments for fraudulent, illegal, or non-existent goods or services.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

6. Third-Party Integrations

BumpPay integrates with Stripe and QuickBooks through their official APIs. By connecting an integration, you authorize BumpPay to access your data in those platforms as described in our Privacy Policy and subject to those platforms' own terms of service.

BumpPay is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a partner of Stripe, Inc. or Intuit Inc. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security practices of those third-party platforms. Any disruption to their APIs may affect BumpPay's ability to sync your invoice data.

7. Intellectual Property

The BumpPay name, logo, design, and software are owned by BumpPay and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding.

Your data — including your invoices, client information, and reminder sequences — remains yours. You grant BumpPay a limited license to process this data solely to provide the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

No warranty. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.

Liability cap. BumpPay's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

Exclusions. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, or loss of data, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

BumpPay is a reminder tool. We do not guarantee that your clients will pay their invoices. Collection outcomes depend on factors outside our control.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, we will stop sending reminders immediately and begin the data removal process described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe harms the Service or other users. We will provide reasonable notice unless termination is for fraud or illegal activity.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

If you disagree with any changes, your remedy is to stop using the Service and delete your account.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
